Lead the design and development of foul sewerage systems including gravity sewers pumping stations and associated infrastructure for both public and private sector projects.
Perform hydraulic and hydrological analysis including stormwater management and sewer capacity assessments.
Manage project deliverables ensuring highquality standards ontime completion and compliance with project specifications and budgets.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers ensuring continuous professional development within the team.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (including civil structural and environmental engineers) to deliver integrated solutions for complex infrastructure projects.
Liaise with clients regulatory authorities and stakeholders to understand project requirements provide technical advice and ensure project objectives are met.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including drainage water quality standards and environmental regulations.
Prepare and review detailed design reports technical specifications and cost estimates.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration for construction phase activities.
Stay up to date with industry developments technologies and best practices
Key Qualifications:
Degree: A Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent) is required.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and delivery of foul sewerage systems preferably within a consultancy or engineering design environment.
Proven experience in project management design coordination and technical leadership within the water engineering sector. Chartered
Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) membership is highly desirable not mandatory
Strong knowledge of design software and tools used in sewerage systems (e.g. MicroDrainage SewerCAD AutoCAD Civil 3D etc.).
Comprehensive understanding of industry standards codes of practice and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) and environmental considerations in sewerage design.
Experience working with regulatory agencies and stakeholders (e.g. local councils water authorities and environmental bodies).
