YOUR MISSION
Ratepay is a dynamic and innovative fintech company dedicated to revolutionizing payment solutions in the online retail sector. We empower ecommerce businesses with flexible and secure payment options allowing them to optimize their revenue streams. As a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) youll be a key player in our accounting team taking ownership of critical financial tasks while collaborating across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Youll also be the goto expert for both internal and external audits helping us maintain compliance and excellence.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently prepare monthly and annual financial statements (main ledger) with precision and attention to detail according to IFRS and HGB.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns advance VAT returns recapitulative statements and other tax returns.
- Take a proactive role in internal and crossdepartmental projects providing your accounting expertise to help drive company initiatives.
- Support daytoday accounting tasks contributing to the smooth operation of financial processes.
- Review verify and post incoming invoices and other business transactions ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports and analyses and respond to ad hoc financial inquiries from various stakeholders.
- Serve as the key contact for internal and external auditrelated queries ensuring transparency and thoroughness.
Requirements

Fluency in German and excellent command of English ensuring clear communication with internal and external stakeholders
- A completed commercial apprenticeship or training as an Accountant or an equivalent qualification; the qualification of Bilanzbuchhalter is an added advantage.
- Several years of experience in accounting with additional exposure to project management being a plus.
- Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting principles combined with expertise in SAP and MS Office.
- Ideally you have experience with Navision and a good understanding of German VAT law and other tax laws.
- Passion for accounting and a commitment to contributing to a fastgrowing company with enthusiasm and dedication.
