Role CNC Programmer/Applications Engineer

Location Beavercreek (Dayton) Ohio

Job Type: Fulltime



MustHaves :

1) Min 35 years in Develop implement and optimize CNC programs for machining brittle materials such as quartz ceramic silicon and silicon carbide. 2) 5 years recent Mastercam experience is critical. Utilize Mastercam software for the creation and modification of CNC machining programs. 3) Oversee and optimize the CNC grinding process to ensure precision and quality in manufactured components.35 years recent Mastercam experience is critical. preferred education: high school diploma

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer or Applications Engineer to join our team. In this role you will work closely with both our production team and customers to develop innovative manufacturing solutions focusing on CNC programming diamond tooling and precision machining of brittle materials. Your expertise will drive process improvements and ensure the highest quality standards are met across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop implement and optimize CNC programs for machining brittle materials such as quartz ceramic silicon and silicon carbide.
Utilize Mastercam software for the creation and modification of CNC machining programs.
Oversee and optimize the CNC grinding process to ensure precision and quality in manufactured components.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate application of diamond tooling in the machining of hard and brittle materials.
Act as a technical expert for customers providing guidance on the best machining practices for complex designs.
Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges implementing corrective actions to improve product quality and production efficiency.
Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to develop new applications and refine existing manufacturing processes.
Stay current on industry trends technologies and materials to continuously enhance product development and machining capabilities.
Train and mentor production staff in CNC machining techniques and equipment operation.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


Proficient in CNC programming with a strong understanding of machine setups and operations.
Recent expertise in Mastercam for CNC programming and toolpath creation.
Extensive experience with CNC grinding for precise material removal in brittle materials.
Knowledge of working with brittle materials such as quartz ceramic silicon silicon carbide and tool steel.
Familiarity with diamond tooling for precision machining of hard materials.
Desired experience in applications engineering developing solutions for manufacturing processes.
Strong problemsolving skills with a focus on precision and quality.
Excellent communication skills to interface with both internal teams and external customers.


Preferred Qualifications:


5 years of experience in CNC machining particularly with brittle materials.
Experience working in a highprecision manufacturing environment.
