Midwest multidisciplined engineering firm is looking to add an Automation Engineer to their Houston team!
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design installation commissioning and testing process and instrumentation & control systems (SCADA)
- Collaborate with internal departments including information technology engineering and operations
- Provide project management manage teams and ensure quality control during all phases of project
- Provide instrumentation & control design services for water/wastewater treatment facilities pumping stations and related facilities
- Onsite work for municipal clients (instrumentation configuration installation assistance and control system and process startup/testing
- Oncall 24/7 (rotate weekly) to troubleshoot instrumentation/control issues
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 5 years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer performing design programming installation and startup tasks
- Programming experience using PLCs SCADA and OITs software
- Experience using various products (Concentric Integration primarily include AllenBradley SLC MicroLogix CompactLogix ControlLogix PanelView Rockwell FactoryTalk View GE iFIX Inductive Automation Ignition Wonderware System Platform InTouch and other hardware/software)
- Advanced computer skills
- Auto CAD/Visio experience preferred
