Job Description
The Cigar Room Attendant is responsible for creating an exceptional experience for guests in the cigar lounge by offering expert knowledge of cigars whiskey and related pairings. This role includes guiding guests in their selections maintaining the cigar and whiskey inventory and ensuring a refined welcoming ambiance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Engagement & Guidance: Greet guests warmly assist with cigar and whiskey selections and provide expert pairing recommendations.
2. Product Knowledge: Maintain an extensive understanding of cigar types origins strengths and flavors as well as whiskey varieties and characteristics.
3. Inventory Management: Oversee cigar humidor and whiskey stock levels ensure freshness and order supplies as needed.
4. Presentation & Preparation: Assist guests with cigar cutting lighting and drink pouring to enhance their experience.
5. Education & Tasting Events: Host tastings and educational sessions to promote product knowledge and enjoyment.
6. Lounge Maintenance: Maintain the ambiance and cleanliness of the cigar room ensuring it is comfortable and inviting.
7. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding smoking areas and uphold responsible alcohol service.

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a lounge cigar bar or related hospitality environment with a focus on cigars and whiskey.
Education: Certification in hospitality or mixology preferred; sommelier or spirits training is a plus.
Skills: Strong in guest service product knowledge and presentation.
Personal Attributes: Polished personable knowledgeable and attentive to detail.
