Roles and responsibilities
An HR Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to various HR functions, including recruitment, employee performance, compensation, benefits, and employee engagement. This role helps the HR department make informed decisions, improve processes, and align human resources strategies with organizational goals. The HR Analyst uses data to uncover trends, provide insights, and recommend strategies that enhance overall organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Analysis:
- Gather and compile data from various HR systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll, recruitment platforms) to assess trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to workforce management.
- Analyze employee turnover, retention rates, absenteeism, performance, and compensation data.
- Produce detailed reports and dashboards to communicate findings to HR leadership and other stakeholders.

Workforce Planning & Reporting:
- Assist in developing workforce planning strategies by analyzing current workforce demographics and forecasting future talent needs.
- Prepare and present regular HR metrics reports to senior leadership to track progress and inform business decisions.

Compensation & Benefits Analysis:
- Review compensation structures and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct market salary analysis and recommend adjustments based on data-driven insights.
- Help assess the effectiveness of benefits offerings and suggest improvements based on employee feedback and market trends.

Employee Engagement & Retention:
- Conduct surveys and analyze data to measure employee satisfaction, engagement, and morale.
- Identify areas of improvement and provide actionable recommendations to enhance employee retention and productivity.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Support:
- Analyze recruitment data to determine the effectiveness of recruitment channels and strategies.
- Track key metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and diversity of candidates to optimize hiring practices.

Compliance & Regulatory Reporting:
- Ensure that all HR data complies with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., Equal Employment Opportunity, FLSA, ADA).
- Prepare reports for external audits or regulatory bodies as necessary.

Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with HR teams to streamline and improve HR processes based on data-driven insights.
- Recommend and help implement HR technology solutions to enhance data management and reporting capabilities.
Desired candidate profile
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in HR analytics, HRIS, or a related function.
- Proficiency in HR software (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP), and advanced knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to present complex data in an understandable format.
- Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance regulations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Work Environment: HR Analysts typically work in office environments, either in-person or remotely, depending on company policies. They may be required to work closely with HR teams, management, and external vendors. The role involves a combination of strategic analysis and practical implementation to enhance the HR function.
