Job Description
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (Permanent)
Our client an established healthcare services organization with its corporate headquarters in WNY is looking to add a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity with tremendous room for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daytoday accounting responsibilities to ensure the overall financial success of the organization
- Create and maintain budgets making adjustments when necessary
- Generate financial reports outlining the fiscal health of the organization
- Analyze data to find areas for improvement and make recommendations to upper management
- Act as a mentor for junior accounting staff supervising their daytoday tasks and provide training/guidance when necessary
- Ensure accounting staff is preforming responsibilities according to GAAP
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of local state and federal laws/regulations ensuring compliance
- Analyze current processes/procedures for inadequacies and provide substantiated recommendations for improvements
- Complete special projects when needed
- Work well independently as well as part of a team ensuring clear communication between departments
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full time direct hire
- 100% inoffice; 4045 hours/week
- $80000 $95000 annually depending on experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related
- 35 years relevant accounting experience
- Proficient computer skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills and time management skills
- Extreme attention to detail
- Selfmotivated
- Maintain high level of confidentiality
- Relocation not available
