Job Description
Kompanion is democratizing access to brain health by using generative AI to create and deliver personalized digital psychotherapies.
Tasks
As a backend developer you will be working closely with our iOS developer and Chief Tech and Product Officer to further develop our product (Lilia) a platform that helps families support elderly loved ones affected or at risk of dementia by turning their daily messages into personalized psychotherapies that foster emotional & cognitive wellbeing. You will have the chance to get involved in all aspects of the backend development architecture design database design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend with a focus on performance and usability
- Collaborate with crossfunctional colleagues to define design and ship new features
- Write clean maintainable and testable code following best practices
- Debug and resolve issues ensuring highquality and stable releases
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and shared knowledge
- Manage CI/CD pipeline and release deployments
- Manage database and API layer
- Manage DevOps and system monitoring
Requirements
Must have
- 5 years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Strong proficiency with RESTful APIs thirdparty libraries
- Strong proficiency with Google Cloud Platform and Firebase
- Familiarity with version control systems (Github).
- Ability to work in an agile environment
- Good problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work highly autonomously
- Can do attitude
Nice to Have:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with various frontend technologies
- Although its a rare combination but familiarity with Swift and iOS development would be a plus
- Previous experience working in a startup environment.
