Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the successful implementation of control system projects, including upgrades and expansions.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of control system hardware and software to identify areas for improvement and ensure regulatory compliance.
Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve control system issues, minimizing operational downtime.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians on control system maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design and implement improvements and optimizations in control systems.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in control system technologies, recommending enhancements to improve system performance and reliability.
Maintain detailed documentation and records of control system configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
Participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions to improve expertise in control system operations and maintenance
Desired candidate profile
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in control system maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Proficiency in control system platforms and programming languages, such as DCS (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson) and PLC (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
Relevant certifications in control system technologies are preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in control system maintenance and support, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead technician role.
Hands-on experience with control system hardware and software, including configuration and programming.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to control system safety and reliability.
Experience working in industrial or plant environments is an advantage.
