As part of a leading children’s development center in Bahrain, this position involves working closely with patients and families to improve quality of life and enable children to achieve greater autonomy. Known for its commitment to high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, the center specializes in working with children affected by autism, ADHD, language, and developmental delays. The role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference and supporting children through evidence-based therapies within a supportive, collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
As an Occupational Therapist at this center, you will play a central role in helping children reach developmental milestones and gain crucial life skills. Your primary responsibilities include:
Patient Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of each patient’s physical, mental, and social abilities to accurately identify functional challenges and limitations.
Personalized Treatment Planning: Develop and customize treatment plans that align with each patient’s unique needs, goals, and areas of growth. This includes designing therapeutic activities to support physical, social, and cognitive development.
Therapeutic Interventions: Implement targeted interventions that promote physical, mental, and social well-being. You will use engaging and creative methods to motivate patients, helping them learn and retain adaptive techniques for everyday tasks.
Progress Monitoring: Track patient progress consistently, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on observed changes and patient feedback. Document improvements, challenges, and other observations to ensure a well-documented treatment journey.
Education and Support for Families: Provide guidance and education to patients’ families, equipping them with adaptive techniques, tools, and methods to enhance their child’s independence at home and in other environments.
Collaborative Care Approach: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, ensuring that a holistic, integrated approach is used in every aspect of the treatment process. Effective communication and collaboration will be essential for successful outcomes.
