Head of Purchasing Compras

Promofarma by DocMorris is looking for a dynamic and handson Head of Purchasing to lead our procurement strategy focusing on pharmaceutical suppliers and laboratory partnerships. This is a key leadership role where you will have the opportunity to directly shape our product offering secure highvalue contracts and drive commercial success for one of Spains leading online pharmacies.

Reporting directly to the CEO you will work in close collaboration with multiple teams across the business. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our procurement efforts are aligned with Promofarmas broader goals and vision contributing to longterm growth and profitability.

Tasks

• Supplier Management & Negotiation: Build and nurture strong longterm relationships with pharmaceutical laboratories distributors and pharmacy purchasing groups across Spain. Lead highlevel negotiations to secure the most competitive pricing exclusive partnerships and sustainable agreements.
• Category Leadership: Take ownership of key pharmaceutical and healthrelated product categories ensuring they meet consumer demand maximize profitability and align with our commercial strategy.
• HandsOn Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for laboratories developing robust partnerships and ensuring smooth execution of supply agreements. Your involvement in daytoday negotiations will be key to securing optimal deals.
• P&L Management: Oversee the Purchasing Departments P&L setting clear revenue and margin targets and ensuring that all procurement activities contribute to the companys financial goals.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure product availability optimize inventory management and streamline logistics processes for maximum efficiency.
• Market & Data Analysis: Leverage datadriven insights and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions anticipate changes and strengthen supplier relationships.
• CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing Sales and Operations to align procurement strategies with business objectives promotional activities and customer demands.

Requirements

• Experience: 710 years in purchasing within the pharmaceutical industry ideally within a distributor pharmacy purchasing group or online pharmacy setting. Experience in the Spanish market is essential.
• HandsOn Leadership: A proactive handson leader who thrives in direct supplier management and negotiations. You should be comfortable navigating complex negotiations and building longterm supplier partnerships.
• Negotiation Expertise: Proven record of accomplishment of successfully negotiating favourable terms with laboratories and distributors securing exclusive agreements and driving value for the business.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that respond to market trends customer needs and business goals while delivering financial success.
• Leadership & Team Development: Experience managing and mentoring a purchasing team with a focus on accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Analytical & Financial Acumen: Strong analytical skills and financial management experience particularly in managing P&L and using data to inform business decisions.
• Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish is required to manage local suppliers. Proficiency in English is a plus for managing international supplier relationships.
