You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailQatarEnergy's Internal Audit Department provides independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of the company's governance, risk management and internal control environment. Teams of audit professionals undertake audit assignments within the company. We are seeking a self-motivated and innovative individual for the Head Projects and Contracts Audits position within the Corporate Internal Audit Department. The position is highly visible to the executive management, compliance professionals and other employees in the organization. The ideal candidate should have experience with and deep understanding of the Oil and Gas Industry and regulatory practices. As part of our continuous growth and commitment to best practices, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Projects and Contracts Audits to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have:
• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (Master's degree preferred).
• A minimum of 10 years internal auditing experience, including 5 years industry experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are required to successfully engage management in discussion on key issues and the need to drive change.
• Demonstrate and promote commitment to ethical standards.
• Knowledge or expertise in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, tableau, etc.
• Leadership skills to drive change, instill best practices, routine contact with QatarEnergy's senior executives
• Flexible approach and be team focused.
Lead and supervise the planning and execution of Projects ad Contracts audits in accordance with the departments approved plan and in accordance with the audit manual and international auditing standards. The purpose of the assignments is to provide objective and independent assurance on the effectiveness of governance, risk management and control processes in QatarEnergy Projects ad Contracts.
1. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (Master's degree preferred).
2. Valid membership of a relevant professional body e.g., Institute of Internal Auditors etc. is desirable.
Experience & Skills
1. Has a minimum of 10 years internal auditing experience, including 5 years industry experience
2. Engineering background (e.g., experience in projects, etc.) is preferred
3. Knowledge or expertise in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
4. Strong English language and excellent writing skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
6. Analytical skills and good judgment.
7. Ability to interact with all levels of management and employees.
8. Management skills in resolving audit / investigation related issues tactfully.
9. Innovation and initiative.
10. Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously.
11. Excellent interviewing skills
