You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSupervise day to day operation of gas processing plants, storage/loading/utilities and associated gas/liquid pipelines; including directing operating personnel in optimization of unit throughput, and assigning maintenance priorities. As a team member, will also assist in other Maintenance, Engineering and HSE related activities.
Team Management:
Supervise and lead a team of operators, technicians, and engineers, ensuring that work is performed according to company standards and safety regulations.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, monitor performance, and offer support and guidance to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and assist in employee development and training.
Ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments (e.g., maintenance, engineering, and quality control).
Operations Planning and Coordination:
Oversee daily production schedules, ensuring that operations are aligned with demand and company objectives.
Coordinate maintenance schedules, ensuring machinery and automation systems are properly maintained to minimize downtime and prevent operational disruptions.
Ensure that safety protocols are followed during daily operations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Continuously review production processes for opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Process Optimization and Troubleshooting:
Monitor and analyze operational data (e.g., production rates, machine performance) to identify areas for improvement.
Lead efforts to optimize processes, reduce waste, and implement best practices in machine operation and control systems.
Troubleshoot operational issues, such as machine breakdowns, process inefficiencies, or quality issues, and resolve them promptly to minimize disruptions.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards related to machinery operation and maintenance.
Conduct safety audits and inspections regularly, addressing any hazards and promoting a culture of safety within the team.
Maintain a high standard of quality control throughout the production process, ensuring products meet or exceed specifications.
Inventory and Resource Management:
Oversee the inventory of parts, tools, and materials needed for machine operation and maintenance, ensuring that stock levels are maintained to prevent delays.
Collaborate with the procurement team to order and stock necessary materials and equipment.
Optimize the use of resources, ensuring that machinery and personnel are being utilized efficiently.
A minimum of 10 years operations experience in Hydrocarbon Processing Industry including at least 3 in a Supervisory position. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills to include knowledge of Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
Machinery and Equipment Knowledge:
Strong understanding of machinery operation, maintenance, and control systems, particularly in automated or semi-automated environments.
Familiarity with PLC systems, SCADA, and other industrial control systems.
Process Optimization:
Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
Knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to resolve operational challenges.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Proficiency in identifying and resolving issues with machinery, automation systems, and related technologies.
Ability to manage and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
Safety Management:
Deep knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices (e.g., OSHA, ISO 9001, etc.) and experience in implementing safety procedures in an industrial setting.
