Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

experience in marine vetting, marine operations, marine terminals, emergency response drill development and coordination or risk management. • Good Knowledge with the process of risk identification, mitigation, and management. • Ability to review/develop reports, presentations, policies, and procedure. • Good Knowledge of LNG shipping industry bodies, National and International maritime and shipping regulations.
Marine Project Planning & Execution:

Expertise in managing complex marine projects, including offshore platform construction, subsea installation, shipbuilding, port development, and marine infrastructure projects.
Ability to oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning, design, and procurement through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
Proficiency in project scheduling, resource allocation, and managing project timelines, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Experience in contract management, including preparation and negotiation of contracts, change orders, and claims management.
Team Leadership & Management:

Proven ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, technical experts, contractors, and subcontractors.
Experience in resource planning, assigning tasks, and ensuring that teams have the right skills and tools to execute the project efficiently.
Ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, motivating and supporting team members to achieve project goals.
Budget & Cost Control:

Expertise in managing the project budget, ensuring that expenditures are tracked, costs are controlled, and financial targets are met.
Experience in cost estimation and financial forecasting, managing project budgets, and controlling cost overruns.
Ability to conduct regular cost audits and financial performance analysis to ensure that project costs remain within scope and financial constraints.
Technical Knowledge & Marine Operations:
Marine Engineering & Offshore Technology:

Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles and offshore technologies, including construction and installation techniques for offshore platforms, subsea systems, offshore pipelines, and floating structures.
Understanding of vessel operations, marine logistics, and the technical requirements for transporting large and heavy equipment offshore.
Expertise in the use of marine construction vessels, including jack-up rigs, pipelayers, dredgers, tugboats, and heavy-lift cranes.
Knowledge of marine survey techniques for site investigation, geotechnical studies, and hydrodynamic modeling to assess seabed conditions and ensure safe operations.

Ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, contractors, and suppliers.
Experience in client relationship management, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Strong negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and manage the relationship between various stakeholders involved in the project.
Reporting & Documentation:

Proficiency in project reporting and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, technical drawings, safety logs, and compliance records.
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
Crisis Management & Problem-Solving:

Ability to address issues and unexpected challenges during the project, such as delays, equipment failures, or unforeseen environmental conditions, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
Strong problem-solving skills, able to adapt to changing circumstances and implement solutions quickly and efficiently.
Proven track record of managing large-scale marine projects, including offshore platforms, subsea installations, shipbuilding, or port development projects.
Experience with managing multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, construction crews, safety officers, and logistics staff.
Practical knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Asta Powerproject) and marine logistics systems.
Experience working with contractors and subcontractors, ensuring that they meet the project specifications and safety standards.
