Sole Hire is conducting a confidential recruitment on behalf of a client in the manufacturing industry seeking a dedicated Maintenance and Automation Manager. This pivotal role involves leading maintenance operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment focusing on cost control and efficiency in plant and equipment maintenance. We are searching for a proactive leader eager to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) of production equipment including injection molding machines material handling systems and tower & chiller systems.
- Manage auxiliary equipment such as robots conveyors thermolators welders hot stampers and grinders ensuring peak performance.
- Develop and maintain detailed records for all PM activities to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with production teams to address equipmentrelated issues promptly and efficiently.
- Identify and implement opportunities for equipment upgrades or replacements improving productivity and reducing costs.
- Handle purchasing activities including preparing and approving purchase orders for parts and supplies through the IQMs system.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.
- Lead the installation and startup of new equipment such as injection molding machines and robots.
- Ensure the facility adheres to all safety programs and complies with OSHA rules and regulations.
Personnel Management:
- Establish staffing requirements and manage personnel within the maintenance department.
- Conduct evaluations and manage disciplinary actions for maintenance staff up to and including terminations.
- Oversee work schedules to maintain optimal efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience particularly with injection molding machines.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. as the company does not sponsor visas.

- Salary range: $80000 $100000
