Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled FTA and Trade Compliance Expert to join our team, ensuring that our global operations remain compliant with complex international trade regulations. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong understanding of free trade agreements (FTA), trade compliance regulations, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

FTA and Trade Compliance Oversight:
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of global FTAs, along with the ability to monitor and interpret changes in trade agreements and legislation worldwide. As a key expert, you’ll need to track and analyze updates, including bilateral and diagonal cumulation, proofs of origin, and preferential origin determinations. By staying informed on these evolving areas, you'll be positioned to advise our clients on the benefits and implications of FTAs, ensuring that they maximize cost savings and compliance benefits. You will assess whether products qualify for preferential origin status, ultimately helping clients navigate the intricacies of trade agreements effectively.

Global Trade Intelligence:
In this role, you’ll act as a central resource for trade compliance updates, providing strategic insights that will support proactive risk management across the business. You’ll keep our teams and clients informed of changes in international trade laws, helping them adapt to new regulatory landscapes while mitigating potential compliance risks.


Desired candidate profile

Workflow and Data Management:
Working alongside our development team, you’ll help refine and optimize workflow processes that support trade compliance. This involves analyzing technical workflows to ensure they align with regulatory requirements and streamlining processes where possible. You will also oversee data management practices, maintaining high standards for data formats, processing, and quality. By implementing strict data quality controls, you’ll ensure accurate compliance reporting and decision-making.

Customs Incentives and Cost Reduction:
You will leverage customs programs to secure favorable rulings and duty reductions, helping our clients achieve significant cost savings. By understanding the potential of various customs incentives, you’ll ensure clients benefit from lower duty rates and streamlined customs processes.

Documentation and Global Communication:
You’ll create comprehensive, accessible documentation detailing all compliance processes, enabling consistency and clarity within the team. Effective communication is vital in this role, as you’ll work with diverse stakeholders, including data specialists, developers, regulatory auth
