You are at the heart of the hotel! As a Team Leader you will take ownership of guest rooms ensuring that our guests are provided with a clean comfortable space and be a part of creating a memorable experience for them.
This is a parttime position (minimum of 25 hours per week) working on a rotating 7day roster with a wage of $27.32 per hour
Your duties will include:
- Prepare the morning reports showing occupied vacant check outs and out of order rooms for the Housekeeping Department as required
- Assist the Head of Department and supervisors with the productivity motivation and development of all line Team Members within the Housekeeping department
- Assist in the daily cleaning checking of rooms and the staff/public areas to maintain standards
- Take initiative to add a personalized experience for the guest
- Take ownership of guests privacy and belongings while ensuring exceptional service
- Assist with allocation of guest rooms
- Training new hires as and when required
- Handon approach to assisting Room Attendants and Public Areas Attendant
- Assist guests with all enquiries and complaints and provide accurate information to guests about property facilities and features
- Be trusted to follow correct procedures for all lost property items and ensure housekeeping team members are aware of procedure
- Ensure all team members (and self) handles all amenities chemicals and equipment according to specific instructions and Workplace Health & Safety standards
- Ensure all Team Members are fully trained in property fire & emergency procedures and all fire wardens attend training as required
Qualifications :

- Previous experience as a selfchecker or team leader
- Passion for interacting with people with the ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Ability to work well under pressure in our fastpaced environment.

- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to work on a rotating roster over 7 days if required including weekends and public holidays
- Strong leader with a desire to learn and develop
- A first aid certificate is favourable.
- NZ citizenship permanent residency or a current and valid work visa/permit. (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
