Guest Safety Manager
The Guest Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our Heartists guests and visitors as an integral part of our operations. As a Guest Safety Manager your attentiveness efficiency and commitment to excellence will ensure the hotel remains a safe enjoyable workplace and travel destination. The Guest Safety Manager is responsible for all daily Security & Safety tasks and functions and acts as the Guest Safety Leader when the Director is unavailable.
What you will be doing:
- Oversee the Security Operations Dispatch Office and ensure all duties and details are being completed in an efficient manner.
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
- Ensure the overall safety of the hotel guests colleagues and hotel premises.
- Act as a leader of the Emergency Response Team responding in cases of fire accident safety concerns and calls for medical assistance
- Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy are investigated and reported
- Respond to all emergency situations and provide First Aid and CPR as required
- Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards
- Report and investigate occurrences of accidents complaints criminal activity and crisis situations
- Complete assigned projects in Security & Safety within given deadlines
- Conduct departmental key control audits and maintain key control records
- Supervisor train and develop talent within the department
- Attend leadership meetings and complete all required training
- Follow department policies procedures and service standards
- Enforce all Security & Safety protocols
- Maintain and troubleshoot issues with all Security related equipment and programs
- Maintain Guest Safety Manager Office Standards of conduct
- Ensure all Guest Safety Department staff are adhering to Fairmont Policy
- Review reports and daily activity logs
- Ensure all Guest Safety monthly tasks are completed
- Assist Director of Guest Safety on processes and SOP development
- Assist with scheduling and payroll checklist
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Guest Safety Supervisor role leadership experience preferred
- Relevant security supervision in a luxury hotel environment is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Strong technical skills in Windows based programs and Security related equipment and Security software programs.
- Certification in CPR First Aid required
- Must possess a professional presentation
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
