Are you ready to take guest service to the next level At Fairmont Banff Springs were seeking a dedicated Fairmont Gold Supervisor to join our elite team. Youll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests experience exceptional service and unforgettable stays in our luxurious hotel within a hotel.
Starting Rate: $23.67 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $28.08.
Job Duties Include:
- Provide excellence in guest service and act as liaison between the hotel and our guests always responding to guest requests and concerns in a personal prompt and courteous manner with the ability to think outside the box
- Demonstrate a commitment to provide warm anticipated service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning guests by providing a personalized curated guest experience.
- Must be able to perform all front desk duties including but not limited to accurately post all charges assist with check in/out procedures auditing and reporting.
- Review all Fairmont Gold reservations ensuring accuracy and that all standards are met.
- Provide exceptional concierge information to our guests about local and area attractions restaurants theatres special events tickets and other available services/excursions
- Must be available for shift work including weekends mornings and evenings.
- Ensure the arrival and departure experience of all guests is seamless through coordination of our market mix and VIPs
- Ensure food and beverage standards are adhered to on a daily basis while continually raising the bar of service excellence; assisting Lounge Attendants when needed
- Empower colleagues to appease any guest service challenges and ensure all guest issues are tracked and followed up on to ensure service recovery
- Develop and maintain standards for the department while adhering to Fairmonts core standards
- Ensure a safe environment for our guests and colleagues by adhering to the hotels Health and Safety policies
- Vital part of the hotels Emergency Procedures
- Lead by example and sustain an environment of Respect Integrity Teamwork Accountability Excellence and positive employee relations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years previous Front Desk supervisory experience in a Large Hotel preferred
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Excellent knowledge of MicrosOpera PROPERTY Manager word and excel
- Previous working experience in Royal Service and or dealing with guest recovery with excellent recovery
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Graduate of Hotel Management or Hospitality program an asset
- Highly organized innovative and resultsorientated with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast paced changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal skills with a high attention to detail required
- Solutionsorientated strong interpersonal skills and problem solving techniques
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Constant sitting standing and walking throughout shift
- On occasion must be physically able to lift guest luggage and assist to guest room
- Candidates must be legal to serve alcohol in Alberta (18 years of age) and must possess ProServe certification
