Job Summary
The BShift General Production Manager will lead and train supervisors across various production functions at our Waterloo Pork Plant. This role is essential to ensuring effective production operations focusing on safety quality and team morale. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader who can manage documentation yields time and attendance and motivate team members to achieve high standards. Additionally this role is responsible for overseeing bid movement supporting adaptability to a dynamic work environment and building a strong communicative and adaptable team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and train supervisors across all production functions ensuring team alignment with production goals and standards
Manage documentation monitor yields track attendance and address disciplinary issues
Motivate team members manage turnover absenteeism and foster a supportive and efficient work environment
Promote and enforce safety standards quality control workers compensation and team member morale
Oversee production schedules product rotation and CCP verification schedules
Conduct audits and inspections across the production floor to maintain quality standards
Actively participate in safety committee responsibilities promoting a culture of safety throughout the facility
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
3 years in a supervisory role within a meat processing plant (preferably pork)
Familiarity with processing floor operations and HACCP principles with CCP monitoring verification experience preferred
Skills:
Strong problemsolving leadership and team motivation skills
Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of management
Basic computer proficiency
Physical Requirements: Ability to access all areas of the production floor including ladders and stairs and work in temperatures ranging from 2845 degrees
Special Skills: Knowledge of fresh meat processing is a plus; HACCP certification preferred
Additional Details
Travel: Occasional travel as needed
Reports to: Direct management of all production operations and supervisory staff with responsibility for reviewing and improving team member performance
Compensation: Includes ASR and AIP variable compensation as well as equity in the position
Relocation: Regional relocation assistance available
Schedule: Fixed BShift hours with no flexibility in work hours
