Job Description
Position: MRI Technologist
Start Date: 11/18/2024
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: North Adams MA 01247
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Evenings 3:00 PM 11:00 PM 8
Shift Notes: 8hr Evenings 40hr guarantee
Weekend Requirements: TBD/Holidays required if needed
OnCall Requirements: TBD
COVID Vaccination: COVID VACCINATION (dose date on or after 10/3/23) NOW REQUIRED FOR THIS HEALTH SYSTEM. Exemption forms are available in Downloadable Forms (Both forms REQUIRE Provider/Religious Leader Signatures) or please ask your delivery team for documents. IF APPROVED BY THE HEALTH SYSTEM TRAVELER WILL WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON SITE. To avoid delays in processing please include the travelers COVID vaccination card/or intent to fill out the exemption form with profile submission.
Travel Policy: Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates 50mile radius restriction)
- GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0
- Ratio: Approximately 9 patients/shift
- Will always work with another Tech Aide or another MRI Tech/Traveler and will never work solo
** Travelers working a concurrent per diem/prn assignment will not be considered
** CLIENT WILL CONSIDER A TRAVELER WITH A PENDING MA RADIOLOGY LICENSE. LICENSE MUST BE IN PROCESS AT PROFILE UPLOAD AND TRAVELER MUST HAVE LICENSE IN HAND TO BEGIN ASSIGNMENT.
** AT LEAST TWO SPECIFIC INTERVIEW DATES/TIMES OF AVAILABILITY FOR INTERVIEW MUST BE ADDED TO THE PROFILE PROFILES WILL NOT BE PRESENTED WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION. ANYTIME WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
** Requested time off during this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better)
- Ability to function independently and proficiently in a highstress workintensive environment.
- Must be able to move and lift patients equipment and supplies regularly.
- Must be able to operate complex radiographic equipment including Carm.
- Must have a working knowledge of film processing and laser imaging results.
- Ability to stand/walk up to 6 hours per 8hour shift.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. intermittently throughout shift.
- Ability to lift over 100 lbs. without assistance and/or mechanical aid. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use of prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met.
- Ability to speak and understandably write the English language.
- 2 years of current MRI experience required
- 2 years of current XRay experience required
- ARRT (MR) and (R) required
- Previous Travel REQUIRED (at least 6 mos or more)
- Travelers with current agency experience (at least 6mos to 1 year or more) REQUIRED (firsttime travelers with an agency will not be considered)
- Meditech Expanse experience is strongly preferred
- Travelers must be willing to consider other duties on assignment during low census (within the scope of practice)
