Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical

Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Nights 12

Shift Notes: 12 Hour Nights 36 Hour Guarantee

Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend

Traveler Policy: Cannot accept local candidates who live within 50 miles of the facility.

Dress Code: Navy Blue

This position requires basic medical/surgical knowledge to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• (30%)* Regularly assesses patients/clients needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physicianauthorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice.
• (30%)* Provides direct resident care including medication administration treatments call lights assisting with transfers responding to alarms etc.
• (20%)* Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members utilizing current information to improve patient care.
• (10%)* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physicianordered care accurately completely and promptly.
• (10%)* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.

• 2 years of Med Surg Experience Required
• Oncology Experience Required
• BLS & ACLS (AHA) Required
• Travel Experience Highly Preferred
• Epic Experience Preferred
