Embedded Software Engineer
About the Job:
The Software Engineer Embedded Linux C is responsible for design development testing and support of new and existing software components for the companys Reverse Vending Machines. The Engineer will be responsible for identifying documenting and fixing defects and as well as working with the Validation team to create and execute comprehensive test plans. Will also be responsible for research and documentation of new and existing functionality and technologies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Development and Implementation of Reverse Vending Machine Software using C for the Full Product Line.
- Developing new features for our product lines.
- Resolving Issues related to Reverse Vending Machine functionality reported by our Validation team
- Provide support to organization.
- Contribution to the definition of software requirements and functional operation of our system.
- Continuous improvement of architecture tools and processes.
- Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience Within Software Engineering Computer Science or similar with a focus on Database usage in a distributed environment.
- 5 8 years of programming experience in embedded systems using Linux.
- Experience with the design development and maintenance of embedded software packages
- Experience with networking / distributed systems Qt revision control systems computer vision or PLC programming are a plus
- High proficiency in C/C for embedded Linux systems
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- Motivated independent and structured way of working
- Very good language skills in English. German is a Bonus.
- Competent with relevant software (email MS Excel MS Word MS Powerpoint) Software development toolchains.
- Ability to successfully negotiate

Additional Knowledge Skills And/or Abilities Preferred:
- MS SQL (TSQL indepth knowledge of stored procedures triggers indexes)
- SSRS
- SAP Crystal Reports
- Experience developing windows software in one or more highlevel languages
- Understanding of ObjectOriented programming
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Familiarity with IIS
- IPSec/VPN SSL (HTTPS/SFTP over SSL etc.) PKI
- Experience with PowerBI and MS Dynamics 365
