Job Description
Job Title: Security Compliance Consultant 2024
Job Code: RFQ 410773
Location: Remote (Preference CA)
Client: State Compensation Insurance Fund
Duration: 12 Months
Requirements: Must live in California able to access a local State Fund office and work in the office for the first week of hire.
Job Summary:
1. The consultant will lead staff in the implementation and execution of technical aspects of the State Funds Enterprise Security Plan.
2. The consultant will be the subject matter expert on security issues/projects.
3. Candidate needs 5 years of IT experience with 2 years in a lead/management role.
4. Candidate needs 5 years of experience in security practices.
5. Required technical skills include security project management knowledge of hardware operating systems networks network protocols databases cloud platforms security concepts security GRC active directory and programming languages.
6. Professional skills include strong analytical and critical thinking excellent communication skills ability to present to senior management knowledge of security policy compliance and governance frameworks selfmotivation ability to work in a regulated environment ability to explain complex problems and solutions strategic thinking influencing skills project management experience and 5 years of experience in information security.
7. CISA CISM and/or CISSP Certification is required.
8. Tasks include conducting complex Risk Assessments providing indepth security consultation developing and maintaining security policies and standards training team members developing and maintaining procedures performing analysis on complex Security Incident Response tickets attending meetings and leading on assigned Information Security projects.
