Need a CT/Xray technologist CT cert. not required however need to be CT proficient. Xray experience needs to include fluoro all Xray exams surgery (Carm) and portable. New Xray grad can apply as long as certified by ARRT. Rad Tech Position Responsibilities: Transports patients according to their physical abilities relative to the exams requested. Assists patients as needed to reduce motion on images. Selects technical factors on an individual patient basis. Operates all equipment in the Radiology Department Protects patients according to Xray Department policies and procedures. Documents patient responses to pertinent information. Assists in performing special procedures. Assists in the training of Radiology students. Practices sterile technique and Universal Precaution. Maintains all records according to Xray Department policies and procedures. Cleans rooms following each examination. Restocks linen and supplies as needed. Cooperates with all Department personnel for the best possible patient care. Rad Tech Required Education & Experience: Two years previous experience preferred. Satisfactory completion of formal radiology technology training in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT. The registry eligible technologist must take and pass the national test within one year of hire date. Has successfully completed on the job training or has been registered/certified in any subspecialties before performing these exams unassisted including DEXA. BLS Certification Required. CT Tech Position Responsibilities: Transports patients according to their physical abilities relative to the exams requested. Uses positioning aides as needed to produce a quality patient exam. Operates all CT associated equipment. Protects patient according to XRay Department policies and procedures. Assists/administers contrast media as ordered by Radiologist. Assists in performing special procedures. Assists in the training of Radiology students. Practices sterile technique and Universal Precaution. Maintains all records according to Xray Department policies and procedures. Cleans rooms following each examination. Restocks linen and supplies as needed. CT Tech Required Education & Experience: Two years previous experience preferred. Satisfactory completion of formal radiology technology training in an AMA approved school and is registered by the ARRT. Registered/certified CT Technologist required. BLS Certification Required.
