Contract Mechanical Design Engineer Mid

Duties: Location: Redmond WA 98052 (Day1 Onsite) Responsibilities: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to design manufacture and assemble prototypes of soft wearable electronic devices Apply sound engineering and design principles for manufacturing of novel sensor integrations in wearable electronics Communicate with vendors on DFM and Manufacturing of designs for prototype builds Collaborate with researchers and engineers to rapidly prototype hardware solutions iterate and run experiments. Must Have skills: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience 4 years of experience in designing hardware prototypes preferably in wearable consumer electronics or a similar field Knowledge of the design process for highvolume consumer products from concept to manufacturing Average or higher experience with CAD modeling Siemens NX preferred Physical prototyping experience Experience with FPC/PCB design Demonstrated experience with Design for injection molding and 3D printing Nice to Haves: Knowledge of Camera integration Sensor Integration Elastomer design Haptic devices or Textile Manufacturing. Experience developing wearable consumer electronics Handson prototyping with molding and casting of elastomers or industrial processes such as Liquid Injection Molding. Experience collaborating and communicating effectively on multidisciplinary teams Experience working in a fastpaced dynamic environment
