Roles and responsibilities
1. Financial Planning and Analysis
- Develop and manage financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.

2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

3. Budgeting and Cost Management
- Lead budgeting processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor expenses, optimize cost-efficiency, and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Track performance against budgets and make recommendations to improve profitability.
4. Cash Flow and Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and maintain optimal working capital levels.
- Oversee banking relationships, investments, and financial assets.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage debt requirements.
5. Business Support and Strategy
- Partner with departmental heads to provide financial insights for strategic decisions.
- Support business growth initiatives, including investments, acquisitions, and expansions.
- Analyze market trends and financial data to advise on strategic opportunities.
6. Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
- Work with auditors during internal and external audits to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
7. Team Leadership and Development
- Manage and mentor the finance team, promoting a high-performance culture.
- Provide training and development opportunities to improve team capabilities.

8. Systems and Process Improvement
- Oversee implementation and enhancement of financial systems and tools.

9. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting
- Act as a liaison with external partners, including banks, investors, and auditors.

10. Ad Hoc Financial Analysis and Support
- Conduct special financial analysis for projects and organizational initiatives.

Desired candidate profile
1. Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
2. Experience
- 5-10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis.
- Proven track record in managing financial operations, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in a relevant industry (e.g., hospitality, manufacturing, or tech) can be a plus.
3. Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
