Roles and responsibilities
1. Installation of HVAC Systems
- Install air conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation systems, and related components according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
- Connect electrical wiring and perform necessary connections to ensure proper operation of HVAC systems.
2. Maintenance and Inspections
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing filters to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure systems are operating efficiently.
3. Diagnosis and Repair
- Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system malfunctions, identifying issues related to electrical, mechanical, or refrigerant components.
- Repair or replace defective parts, including compressors, fans, coils, and thermostats, to restore system functionality.
4. Refrigerant Handling
- Handle and manage refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Recharge systems with the appropriate refrigerant and ensure proper pressure levels are maintained.
5. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and recommendations for future work.

6. Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to client inquiries, explaining service options, and offering solutions to their HVAC needs.
- Educate customers on proper operation and maintenance of their HVAC systems.
7. Compliance and Safety
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical systems, refrigerants, and tools.

8. Emergency Services

Desired candidate profile
1. Educational Background
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
2. Certifications and Licenses
- Relevant HVAC certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608 Certification for refrigerant handling).
- State or local licensing may be required depending on jurisdiction.
3. Experience
- Previous experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair is desirable, with a minimum of 1-3 years in the field.
