Job Description

Job title: Technical Program Manager

Location: Irvine CA

Duration: full time

o Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in automotive Chassis system and subsystem design and development

o Thorough knowledge of engineering design & development concepts of automotive suspension Frames and Axle design. Create a plan for all engineering activities and track all deliverables

o Work with crossfunctional team to resolve technical issues and create alternative proposals

o Very good proficiency in CATIA V6. Prepare and execute design release in the 3DExperience PLM system. Experience in creating 3D designs and 2D drawings (e.g. CATIA V6 only)

o Develop and deliver front and/or rear suspension architectures from a blank page through to production

o Create and optimize mechanical designs for performance size weight durability and cost

o Work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers to integrate multiple systems

o Work closely with stakeholders and attribute owners across the company (Vehicle Safety Vehicle Dynamics NVH Durability Manufacturing etc.)

o Coordinate virtual engineering a physical validation testing activities for your designs

o Knowledge of Sheetmetal tooling and other manufacturing processes (casting and forging)

o Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documentation with GD&T

o Maintain and develop Design Validation Plans (DVP) and Design Failure Mode Analysis (DFMEA)
