Senior Supply Chain Manager

Roles and responsibilities

The Senior Supply Chain Manager will oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations for our retail business. This role involves strategic planning, execution, and optimization of supply chain processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in meeting customer demands while minimizing costs.

Job Duties:

• Strategy Development: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with overall business goals.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess.
• Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality and timely delivery of products.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics and transportation strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods to retail locations.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to forecast demand, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve supply chain performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain operations with business objectives.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and manage risks within the supply chain.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in supply chain management within the retail industry.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in supply chain software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
