Job Description
Our client an industry leader in infrastructure and construction is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer with capital construction project experience to join their team in Plantsville CT. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on meaningful projects in a supportive growthoriented environment.
About the Role The Structural Engineer will play a key role in designing analyzing and overseeing the construction of structural systems for largescale projects ensuring adherence to engineering standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires close collaboration with project teams contractors and stakeholders to deliver safe efficient and timely project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop design and assess structural components and systems for capital construction projects.
- Conduct structural analyses safety inspections and site assessments.
- Prepare technical reports specifications and construction documentation.
- Work closely with project managers architects and construction teams to ensure project success.
- Maintain compliance with local state and federal regulations as well as safety codes.
- Utilize engineering software including AutoCAD SAP2000 and Revit for structural analysis and design.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Connecticut or ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
- 5 years of structural engineering experience with a focus on capital construction projects.
- Proficiency with structural design principles construction materials and relevant building codes.
- Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
