About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sonography Supervisor to join our healthcare team. As a leader in our radiology department you will oversee sonography operations ensuring high standards of patient care and supporting a collaborative and efficient work environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sonographer looking to take the next step in their career and lead a dynamic team in a fastpaced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily activities of the sonography department including breast ultrasound services.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including ACR inspections and accreditations.
- Mentor and support a team of sonographers to maintain best practices and promote professional growth.
- Collaborate with management on departmental projects quality improvement initiatives and budget planning.
- Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment ensuring highquality imaging and safety for patients.
MustHaves:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program; a Bachelors degree is preferred.
- Active certification in Sonography (ARDMS).
- A minimum of five years of progressive experience in sonography with expertise in breast ultrasound.
- Proven experience in sonography inspection and accreditation processes particularly with ACR.
NicetoHaves:
- Previous experience in a unionized environment.
- Skills in project and/or budget planning.
- Experience as a lead sonographer.
