Job Role : System Engineer / Administrator
Location : Garland TX
Duration : 3 Months Contract
Job Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator to temporarily fill a leave of absence. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be able to quickly adapt to our existing infrastructure.
- This role requires a proactive and detailoriented individual who can efficiently troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Server Management:
- Build configure and maintain both physical and virtual servers.
- Deploy and manage server operating systems (Windows Server Linux).
Network Administration: - Configure and maintain network devices (routers switches firewalls).
Implement and manage network security protocols (VPN firewall rules).
Storage Management: - Manage and maintain storage systems (SAN NAS).
- Implement and manage data backup and recovery solutions.
- Security:
- Implement and manage security policies and procedures.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Deploy and manage security solutions (firewalls intrusion detection systems).
- Scripting and Automation:
- Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell) to automate tasks.
Cloud Technologies: - Manage and maintain Azure and Azure AD environments.
- Deploy and manage cloudbased applications and services.
Other Responsibilities:
- Install configure and troubleshoot software applications (SharePoint JDE).
Manage and maintain Active Directory. - Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Deploy and manage endpoint management solutions (Intune/Endpoint Manager).
Provide technical support to endusers. - Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of server and network infrastructure.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure AWS).
- Strong understanding of security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in relevant technologies (MCSA MCSE CCNA CCNP) is preferred.
