ABOUT THE ROLE
The Lead Android Developer position is pivotal in shaping the next generation of Android applications for Neon Screens clients. This role involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams to create applications that are robust responsive and aligned with the companys high standards. As a developer in this position you will play a key role in building features from scratch and refining existing components ensuring that each app delivers an exceptional user experience. This position provides an opportunity to lead technical projects innovate in app design and drive solutions that impact realworld applications.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
- Help designing clientside and serverside architecture.
- Build the frontend of applications through appealing visual design & great attention to detail.
- Reuse the components to keep the code clear.
- Translate designs and wireframes into highquality code.
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot debug and upgrade software.
- Create security and data protection settings.
- Build features and applications with a responsive design.
- Write technical documentation.
- Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software.
- Provide inputs from your end to build robust software solutions.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK different versions of Android and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Understanding of Android Porting and Build process.
- Having 5 years of experience in Native apps development.
- Strong experience with Video Processing.
- Experience with offline storage threading and performance tuning.
- Design develop and maintain efficient Android Apps using Android SDK Java Kotlin Jetpack components SQLite Database MVVM Architecture.
- Manage the full technical lifecycle of Android applications during each development phase including functional & technical design implementation testing deployment and maintenance.
- Must have own computer (relevant software and subscriptions provided).
- Excellent English verbal and written language proficiency (C1C2 in CEFR Scale).
- Access to a quiet work area at home with reliable internet (50 Mbps or more).
NICETOHAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years experience with Kotlin.
- FireTV/OTT application development.
- Smart TV apps development.
- CI/CD pipelines Server management.
- Multiplatform hybrid platform language.
- Backend language: NodeJS.
- Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field and relevant certifications in cloud computing or backend development are a plus.
ROLE SPECIFICATIONS
- Base Salary: USDbase salary depending on experience and location.
- Role type: Fulltime Contractor
- Location: Anywhere in Latin America (Remote Work from home).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM.
RECRUITING PROCESS
- Application / Screening: When you apply for this position we will ask you a short questionnaire to get to know you a little bit better and ask you for some additional inputs to see if you qualify for the position. In addition we will ask you to complete a short psychometric evaluation and a short English proficiency assessment. The idea is to explore if this is a good fit before moving forward.
- Skills Assessment: You will be asked to complete a few exercises and/or projects designed to recreate the work tasks that you will be responsible for if you are given the role. This helps us gauge your skill level as well as give you a better idea of the required work.
- Skills Assessment Interview: This is a 60 min 90 min conversation where we further test your skills learn about your previous working experiences and evaluate culture fit to the role and company.
- Hiring Manager Final Interview: This is a 30 min 60 min conversation with the positions Hiring Manager (and potentially a few company team members) to get to know you better and to set the expectations and vision for the role.
The entire process usually takes anywhere between 24 weeks to complete depending on the seniority of the position.
