Job Description
Title: Data Warehouse Tester
Location: Louisville KY (Permanent remote)
Type: Contract
Must have :
- Minimum 5 years of experience with ETL and data validation testing
- Minimum 2 years of handson experience with Databricks
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries
Description:
- The DW Tester thoroughly evaluates the software and data products according to the business standards or function requirements.
- The DW Tester performs advanced technical duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.
- The DW tester isolates reproduces and tracks defects and verifies fixes.
- Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the data processes meet organization standards and enduser requirements. Very familiar with the software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies.
- Decisions are typically focus on methods tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects.
- Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures processes and techniques and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
- Needs to be able to learn current ecosystem fast and get up to speed very quickly
- Experience with ETL testing
- Handson experience with Databricks
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Experience with test documentation and processes
- qTest is a plus (or similar tool)
- Snowflake experience is a plus
- Python programming is a plus
