Job Description

Summary:
The DHS PMT IT Application Development team seeks an Oracle PL/SQL developer to support missioncritical applications by developing backend software fixing legacy code defects and interpreting business requirements. The role involves collaborating with team members to produce scalable code testing and providing production support.

Position Info:

  • Title: Oracle PL/SQL Developer
  • Client: Philadelphia Department of Human Services
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Location: 1515 Arch St Philadelphia PA 19102
  • Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements and write functional code for missioncritical applications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce and refine software.
  • Write test and deploy scalable code; revise and debug as needed.
  • Maintain and improve existing software including legacy code.
  • Provide thirdtier production support on assigned weekends/holidays if needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a PL/SQL Application Developer with tools like Toad and SQL Plus.
  • Proficiency in creating views packages functions stored procedures and working with collections.
  • Ability to work with asynchronous processes optimize queries and debug complex DML.
  • Strong troubleshooting communication and attention to detail.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in development.
