Job Description
Role: MicroStrategy Administrator
Client: ROSS
Location: 100% Remote PST
Duration: 6 Months Contract possible extension
Pay Rate: $55/hr on w2
Top Requirements:
- MicroStrategy Admin. Unix / Linux. Needs to have worked on upgrade projects. Installation Narrowcast analytics (configuration).
- How do we get the system up and running and ready for the developers to use.
- Needs to have owned a MicroStrategy upgrade/migration from end to end.
- Needs a strong administrator who has done hands on work with unix upgrading and migrating
- This is an admin role. Not a developer role. They need to know how to install in Unix environment.
- Need to be able to install the full suite of applications
- Years of experience: Open but needs to be senior and have owned an upgrade in its entirety before. 57 years should suffice.
- Narrowcast is a big nice to have.
Job Description:
MicroStrategy Administrator
Administration and maintenance of MicroStrategy servers from OS and MicroStrategy tool perspective.
You will also play an important role in capacity planning & monitoring performance tuning for MicroStrategy infrastructure.
- Perform MicroStrategy security and administration for all internal and external users including the creation / modification of MicroStrategy roles LDAP groups and user interface portals.
- Implement patches and other daytoday MicroStrategy content administration tasks including creating folders/reports/users and migrating reports/folders/users from Dev to QA to Production.
- Support all MicroStrategy configuration requirements for new clients and client database migrations including working with DBAs to set up and test new data sources used by MicroStrategy creating new MicroStrategy security roles and setting up new user security and reporting interfaces for users.
- Assist internal and external clients with demos and troubleshoot problem reports.
- Support developers by troubleshooting reporting issues related to MicroStrategy configurations and/or cubes/reports/dashboards
- Be conversant with the tools in MicroStrategy suite e.g. Developer Command Manager Architect Object Manager License Manager
- Experience in Capacity sizing/Planning of MicroStrategy infrastructure components
- Hands on experience on Linux/UNIX operating systems.
- Experience in SQL troubleshooting report failures project and Intelligence server level governing settings and their impacts.
- Experience with Narrowcast and Platform analytics configuration
