Job Description
Position Summary:
Quickly and accurately assess patient care needs. Diagnose and develop treatment plans in collaboration with doctors and staff. Manage multiple cases continually prioritizing patient needs.
Shift/Schedule:
- FullTime Midshift (3 twelvehour shifts selfscheduled)
- Shift: 1:00 PM 1:00 AM
Department Overview:
Our Emergency Department (ED) is a fastpaced environment handling a high acuity patient population across all ages and stages of life. Our leadership team fosters a learning and mentoring environment to support the growth of each team member.
- Patient Population: All acuities ages and life stages
- Staff/Patient Ratios: Compliant with ENA Guidelines
- Number of Beds: 23
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current valid RN license
- BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures
- Understanding of medical terminology disease prevention common medications and side effects
- Adherence to nursing ethics and patient privacy rights
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent critical thinking and problemsolving abilities
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation systems
