Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our Clinical Trials Unit team. This role will support clinical research studies and focus on patient care coordination scheduling and communication for a specialized clinic. Responsibilities:
- Patient Coordination: Handle recruitment screening travel and scheduling of study participants. Serve as the primary contact for patients addressing questions and concerns.
- Scheduling and Communication: Coordinate with medical and research teams to schedule patient appointments imaging studies and procedures. Ensure timely communications with patients families and caregivers.
- Data and Record Management: Collect verify and maintain patient data and records. Ensure accurate and complete data entry into clinical databases and electronic medical records.
- Liaison and Support: Act as a liaison between participants their families and clinical staff. Manage patient inquiries prioritize issues and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts to optimize clinic operations.
- Protocol Compliance: Understand study protocols and ensure patient scheduling adheres to protocol requirements. Communicate updates to patients as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Associates degree (required); certification in health services administration or related fields is a plus.
- Experience and Skills:
- Proficient in patient scheduling and travel coordination
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in recruitment and patient care coordination
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and electronic medical records
- Field of Study: Health or Medical Administrative Services General Medical and Health Services
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain patient and volunteer referral records
- Manage patient reimbursement and scheduling conflicts
- Assist with quality control and audit preparation for clinical records
- Provide mentoring and training to new team members on clinical operations
