Job Description
Cloud Platform Architect
As a vital member of the Platform Engineering team you will help manage the extensive application suite and cloud infrastructure. This role is essential as we reshape our cloud infrastructure management and its ideal for a passionate Cloud Platform Architect eager to join our talented team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes with a strong emphasis on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps (ACA).
- Collaborate with software developers to containerize and deploy existing applications on Azure.
- Automate the deployment scaling and management of containerized workloads on Azure.
- Ensure the security of Azure container orchestration platforms.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to advance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) practices.
- Work alongside Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to enhance monitoring and observability for container infrastructure.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies in containerization.
- Document containerization processes and configurations in detail.
- Mentor team members on microservice architecture and container orchestration.
Qualifications for Success:
- Strong knowledge and handson experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Over 10 years of experience with Azure.
- A Cloud Architect mindset with a collaborative approach to designing solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Understanding of microservices design patterns service mesh and distributed architectures.
- Proven experience with Kubernetes and Docker container orchestration platforms.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes deployment methods particularly ArgoCD and Helm.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming (preferably PowerShell or Python).
- Strong passion and creativity for automation using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience with Azure services including Azure Functions Azure Logic Apps and Azure Service Fabric.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrumban) to manage project workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort with transparency.
- Azure Solutions Architect Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator Certification.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR API).
