Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Psych Registered Nurse for our mental health unit. The ideal candidate will provide excellent nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders ensuring their safety and wellbeing. This role requires strong clinical skills the ability to work in highpressure situations and a focus on patient education and support.

Duties

• Assess and monitor patients mental health status including behavior and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists psychologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Administer medications perform interventions and manage crises as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions treatment options and coping strategies.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Meditech.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and patient care standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and service efficiency.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing or a similar acute care setting.
• Experience in crisis intervention and mental health assessment is required.

Requirements

• Active AZ State RN license.
• BLS Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) or Crisis Prevention (CPI) or MANDT or TEAM required.
