Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room. The ideal candidate will provide highquality nursing care to surgical patients ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the perioperative process. This role requires strong clinical skills the ability to handle diverse surgical cases and a commitment to patient education and support.
Duties
- Prepare and assist in surgical procedures ensuring a sterile environment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Monitor and assess the condition of patients before during and after surgery.
- Administer medications and manage anesthesia as directed.
- Educate patients and their families about the surgical process recovery and followup care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Meditech.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Surgical or Operating Room setting.
- Experience with various surgical specialties preferred.
Requirements
- 2 years CURRENT hospital experience REQUIRED
- OR circulate experience with ortho (including total hip total knee) general surgery gyn podiatry urology ENT ENDO Required PLEASE UPLOAD DETAILED SKILLS CHECKLIST!
- Arterial line Central Line IV start skills Required
- Vent & BiPAP experience Required
- Current PALS Certification Required
- BSN Preferred
- Previous travel experience Preferred
