Network Security Engineer

Roles and responsibilities

• Support Networking Hardware and Circuits and Provide Network Services Support to Application Developers. End users and Other Operational Personnel
• Support Network security implementations with security best practice guidance for other network Teams
• Responsible for the Operations and maintenance of data center firewalls
• Perform, Network, Hardware, and software security maintenance
• Ensuring that all firewalls and all network edge devices' security standards are updated (version updates & Patches)
• Interface with Vendors and Partners to ensure security standards are maintained and integrated into all network activities
• Produce and Interpret network Security Analysis Reports
• Provide (on an as-needed basis) Level 4 escalation and support for network outages and applications Troubleshooting
• Traffic monitoring and analytics such as packet capture analysis, with Wireshark and Splunk
• Security Incident Monitoring and Response
• Working with Remote access and VPN
• Working with Cisco / Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco switches and routers, and IPS Management
• Working with Endpoint security management and PAM, EDR, Proxy Management solutions, NDR, Zscaler, CASBE, NAC & DLP solutions
• VA and PT tools management and compliance

• Security Architecture: Designing and implementing secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).

• Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitoring network traffic for unusual activity or security breaches, utilizing security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

• Incident Response: Responding to security incidents and breaches, performing root cause analysis, and implementing remediation strategies.

• Vulnerability Management: Conducting regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network and addressing them proactively.

• Policy Development: Developing and enforcing network security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• User Management: Managing user access controls and authentication mechanisms, ensuring only authorized users have access to sensitive data and systems.

Desired candidate profile

1-3 years of experience in Network Security
BA in Computer Science or any related Field
Excellent in English ( Multinational-Multicultural) software /IT Teams
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of network protocols, security architectures, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).

Security Tools: Familiarity with network security tools and technologies, including IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess security risks and develop effective solutions.

Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant compliance standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).

Scripting Skills: Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) can be beneficial for automation tasks.

Experience:

Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) are highly desirable.
