Job Description:
1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
2. Manage inventory including ordering and restocking.
3. Maintain uptodate knowledge of medications interactions and side effects.
4. Counsel patients on medication usage and potential interactions.
5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
6. Provide exceptional customer service and patient care.
7. Communicate effectively with patients healthcare professionals and suppliers.
8. Manage conflicts and resolve customer complaints.
9. Work collaboratively as part of a team.
10. Demonstrate empathy and understanding in patient interactions.
Software and IT Skills:
1. Familiarity with pharmacy management software (eVitalrx or similar).
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office
3. Knowledge of inventory management systems.
4. Ability to learn new software and systems.
Supplier and Inventory Management:
1. Negotiate with suppliers to secure best prices.
2. Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize stock.
3. Monitor expiration dates and rotate stock accordingly.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Masters degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm).
2. Registered pharmacist with the state pharmacy council.
3. Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
4. Strong technical knowledge of medications and pharmacy operations.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
6. Experience with pharmacy management software.
7. Knowledge of inventory management principles.
8. Certification in pharmacy management or related field.
