Our client is a foremost commercial bank in Nigeria. Due to expansion they need a CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER.
LOCATION: Head Office Lagos
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all regulatory agencies in matters related to compliance.
- Develop implement and maintain an effective compliance program that includes policies procedures and controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance to bank staff on compliancerelated issues and ensure that the compliance program is integrated into the banks overall risk management framework.
- Assisting the Board and the Senior Management in overseeing the implementation of Compliance Policy including policies and procedures prescriptions in Compliance Manuals internal codes of conduct etc.
- Support the Compliance Team with the delivery of the Bank s vision for Compliance.
- Collaborating with other departments within the bank such as Risk Management Legal and Audit to ensure that compliance considerations are integrated into the banks overall risk management framework.
- Ensuring that the banks compliance program is regularly reviewed and updated as necessary to maintain its effectiveness.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor s degree in Finance Accounting or related field. Professional certification is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to identify and assess compliance risks.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage a team of compliance professionals.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent knowledge of compliance regulations.
