Job Description
Our client is a foremost commercial bank in Nigeria. Due to expansion they need a HEAD OF STRATEGY.
LOCATION: Head Office Lagos
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the strategy alignment and planning process across the organization and analyze BUs strategic plans.
- Conduct periodic strategic environmental scanning (PESTEL SWOT) and validate their impact on entity strategy.
- Own the SMO governance process to track & resolve strategic issues and monitor & report progress.
- Drive the Strategy Management process at all levels of the organization and coordinate with the rest of the units.
- Works with the Finance department on conducting forecasts. Ensures adequate availability of resources.
- Ensures strategic initiatives remain on track and within budget timeline and scope.
- Align balanced score cards to strategic plans.
- Quarterly reviews for CEO of performance against balanced scorecards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in business or related field professional certification preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of financial or banking industry experience with significant time in management.
- Experience working in a collaborative and crossfunctional environment.
- Relationship management experience and significant exposure to strategy.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Aptitude for longterm strategic thinking.
- Driver of execution promptly according to plan.
Minimum 8+ years of financial or banking industry experience, with significant time in management. Experience working in a collaborative and cross-functional environment. Relationship management experience and significant exposure to strategy. Strong organizational and planning skills. Excellent analytical skills. Aptitude for long-term strategic thinking. Driver of execution in a timely manner according to plan.
Education
Degree in business or related field, professional certification preferred.
