Job Overview
The Remote Operations Manager will lead our project operations with a primary focus on managing onsite activities enhancing process efficiencies and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires frequent travel to client locations where youll supervise onground operations ensure project alignment and provide realtime solutions to operational challenges. Working remotely when not onsite this position combines strategic oversight with handson operational management.
Key Responsibilities
Client Site Operations Management:
Travel frequently to client sites to oversee project operations coordinate with onsite teams and ensure project milestones are met. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress troubleshoot issues and maintain client satisfaction.
Operational Strategy and Execution:
Develop implement and optimize operational policies and procedures that support Zephyrus Engineerings goals. Coordinate remote and onsite teams for smooth project execution.
Team Coordination and Leadership:
Lead and support project managers and onsite teams providing direction and resolving any operational challenges. Maintain open communication channels with remote and onsite staff to align on project objectives.
Resource Allocation and Budget Management:
Manage project resources allocate budgets and control costs to ensure project financials align with operational goals. Adjust resource distribution based on site needs and project timelines.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity reduce costs and optimize workflows both onsite and remotely. Use Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure that all project activities comply with company standards safety regulations and client requirements. Work with quality control teams to monitor and improve onsite quality standards.
Risk Management and Safety Oversight:
Proactively identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety and regulatory compliance at all times.
Reporting and Performance Tracking:
Monitor and report key operational metrics providing insights to senior leadership. Use data to track project performance identify areas for improvement and drive operational success.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelors degree in Business Operations Management Engineering or a related field. A masters degree or certifications such as PMP Lean or Six Sigma are a plus.
Experience:
5 years of operations management experience preferably within engineering or construction environments with a background in managing remote and onsite operations.
Ability to Travel Frequently:
Willingness and ability to travel extensively to client sites (up to 75% of the time).
Leadership and Team Management:
Proven leadership abilities with experience managing both onsite and remote teams. Skilled in mentoring motivating and maintaining team morale.
Analytical and ProblemSolving Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations provide solutions and make decisions under pressure.
Excellent Communication Skills:
Able to communicate effectively with remote and onsite teams senior leadership and clients. Clear concise and professional in both verbal and written interactions.
Technical Proficiency:
Comfortable with project management tools (e.g. Asana Trello) ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with virtual communication tools (e.g. Zoom Microsoft Teams).
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma Certification**
Experience in Engineering or Construction Operations
Knowledge of industryspecific workflows compliance standards and operational challenges.
