Economics Teacher Sought for Reputable Secondary School in Wandsworth
We are pleased to collaborate with a wellrespected secondary school in Wandsworth as they seek a dynamic and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join their faculty. This fulltime permanent position offers a unique opportunity to share your passion for economics and inspire the next generation of critical thinkers and informed citizens.
The Position
As an Economics Teacher you will be instrumental in delivering a stimulating and comprehensive economics curriculum to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will foster a deep understanding of economic principles theories and their realworld applications preparing students for further study and future careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum and the schools educational ethos.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages inquiry debate and critical analysis.
- Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences department to enhance the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Stay informed about current economic trends and developments incorporating them into your teaching.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Economics or a closely related discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Economics at the secondary level preferably across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- A strong grasp of economic theory principles and their practical applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
