Art Teacher Creative SEN School Brentwood
A vibrant SEN school in Brentwood with a strong focus on creative education is seeking an enthusiastic Art Teacher to inspire students with additional needs. This fulltime permanent role offers the opportunity to develop tailored art lessons that foster selfexpression and creativity allowing students to build confidence and explore their artistic potential in a supportive environment.
Role Highlights
- Fulltime permanent Art Teacher position in a dynamic SEN setting that prioritizes creative learning experiences to support diverse student needs and abilities
- Use art as a medium to encourage selfexpression confidence and social development among SEN students creating a welcoming and inclusive classroom space where students feel empowered to share and explore
- Work collaboratively with the SEN team to design accessible engaging art lessons incorporating various art forms and materials to meet individual learning preferences and goals
- Actively participate in schoolwide events and showcase student artwork celebrating achievements and reinforcing a sense of accomplishment among students
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in art education particularly with SEN students demonstrating a strong background in making art inclusive and engaging for students with varied learning needs
- Creative patient and adaptable approach to teaching with the ability to design flexible lesson plans that respond to the unique requirements of each student
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a collaborative attitude towards working alongside other SEN professionals
- Clear enhanced DBS check required to maintain a safe and secure environment for all students
