Geography Teacher Specialist SEN School Harlow
A dedicated specialist SEN school in Harlow is seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join their team. In this fulltime permanent position youll create engaging handson lessons that connect SEN students with the natural world fostering a sense of curiosity and understanding of geography in a supportive adaptive learning environment.
Role Highlights
- Fulltime permanent Geography Teacher role dedicated to working with students with additional needs using interactive and accessible lessons to build understanding and connection to geographical concepts
- Collaborate with a skilled and committed SEN team to design adaptive lessons that meet individual student needs focusing on realworld and practical learning approaches
- Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere encouraging students to explore and learn about different environments cultures and landscapes in ways that resonate with their unique learning styles
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a background in Geography and experience teaching students with special educational needs
- Strong ability to develop creative inclusive lesson plans that adapt to diverse learning abilities and make geography accessible and relevant
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a specialist SEN team
- Clear enhanced DBS check required to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students
